Cheers! It’s that time of year for parties and entertaining friends and family. I’m not exactly the eggnog type, so I’m always looking to branch out of the traditional holiday cocktail fare with something unexpected. Gin is my favorite winter spirit (it’s usually distilled with juniper berries- i.e. pine tree smells and tastes!), so recently discovering Malfy Gin, and their specialty infusions (lemon, grapefruit)- has revolutionized my Christmas cocktail game. Crafted in Italy and inspired by the Amalfi coast (one of my favorite places), Malfy Gin comes in several varieties (and the most beautiful packaging if you’re looking for a great gift idea!)
Today I’m sharing the recipe for “The Amalfi Toast” – a festive and spirited Gin cocktail in the most beautiful blushing color, with hints of citrus. It’s a taste of Italy – and it’s light and refreshing and a perfect way to step up traditional champagne cocktails. I’ve included the recipe below!
“The Amalfi Toast” Cocktail Recipe:
-2 OZ Malfy Rosa Sicilian Pink Grapefruit Gin
-1 OZ Campari
-Squeeze of Lemon Juice
-Rosé Sparkling Wine
Directions: Pour Malfy Rosa Gin, Campari and lemon juice into a shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain through a strainer into a champagne glass. Top off with rosé sparkling wine (be sure to pour slowly as the rosé will “erupt” like Stromboli if poured too fast!) Garnish with lemon or grapefruit peel. Close your eyes and head to The Coast!
