It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Fall is here, and to celebrate, I’ve channeled my inner Martha Stewart and gone all out with a pumpkin and gourd tablescape to last through Thanksgiving, and I’ve also partnered with Heritage Distilling and created my go-to cocktail of the season with their amazing Brown Sugar Bourbon– aptly self titled, “Harvest Thyme.” If you’re a fan of Fireball, BSB will be your new obsession. It tastes like Autumn in a glass- but without an overly sweet finish. I’ve included the recipe below (curtesy of my husband’s well-honed bartending skills), as well as a peak at my DIY Fall tablescape (Mojave helped me collect these branches from our property!)
“Harvest Thyme” Cocktail Recipe:
-2 OZ BSB (Heritage Distillery Brown Sugar Bourbon)
-1 OZ Apple Liqueur (recommendation: Cavados Apple Brandy from France)
-1/2 OZ Lemon Juice
-2-3 Sprigs of fresh Thyme
-1 Egg White
-Lemon Peel (Garnish)/ Sprig of Thyme (Garnish)/ Dusting of Cinnamon (Garnish)
Directions: Pour BSB, apple liqueur, lemon juice, and egg white in a shaker. Shake without ice for a few seconds. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain through a strainer into a martini glass. Garnish with lemon peel, thyme sprig, and a dusting of cinnamon. It’s Harvest time!
