Skincare is an obsession of mine. I’m a sucker for potions in pretty bottles, and I worship a good mask –but only if they actually work! And while walking down a red carpet may not be as important as walking down the aisle – I still always want to look my best, and without the help of a filter;) Here’s my current skin obsessions for glowing skin- on and off the aisle: (Click any image to shop the products.)
Exfoliation is king, and Drunk Elephant’s Sukari Babyfacial is Queen. It’s next level powerful and the best a-home resurfacing facial out there, but be sure to use it the night before a big event ( and not the same day) to avoid redness.
In between at-home facials, continue the exfoliation with Pixi’s Glow Peel Pads. They have some of the highest concentrations of glycolic acid out there (20%) – and they’re non irritating. Follow up with Pixi’s Rose Tonic toner to neutralize the peel, and finish with a few drops of Pixi’s Jasmine Oil Blend (which smells divine fyi!) I’m in love with Pixi products– especially their ‘Glow’ line!
To enhance that post-exfoliation glow, I love a good Vitamin C serum. Cosmetic Skin Solution’s C + E with Ferulic beats them all. Shop it on Amazon, and make sure to store it in a cool, dark place. Vitamin C becomes unstable (and therefore unhelpful!) when exposed to sunlight.
For eyes, I’m a fan of CeraVe’s Eye Repair cream! It’s light but uber moisturizing, and works great under makeup! I use it day and night, and it pairs well over serums and under oils, without creasing or pilling.
And saving the best for last, my current #1 skin go-to is Clarin’s Blue Orchid Facial Treatment Oil. Not too oily but incredibly hydrating (especially for LA’s desert climate and my dry skin) – I love wearing this oil on top of all products, and even a few drops under makeup for a dewy finish.
