‘Tis the season to deck the halls! And this year, we’re celebrating our first Christmas in a new home, with a new puppy, and hosting family and friends for the Holidays — so I’ve gone all out! We’ve been living in a construction war zone since moving into Castle Vista earlier this year and tackling a ton of renovation and DIY projects, and we’re almost across the (temporary) finish line in time to host guests, ring in the New Year, and create some new Holiday traditions of our own.
Decorating for the Holidays is a tradition in itself, and sets a special mood for the weeks to come. Just like choosing a wedding theme and palette, I find that choosing a holiday color palette makes it easier to decorate, and creates a cohesive look that’s easy to build on year after year. I’m a sucker for all shades of metallics, and a generous pop of red. While some of the rooms may still not have furniture this year, they sure provide a great (and empty!) canvas to showcase Holiday decor, and create an atmosphere that’s merry and bright! Cheers to a happy Holiday season and a very merry Christmas to all!
