Red Rock Retreat

I’ve had a lifelong love affair with Sedona.  My love for this magical desert playground never wanes… so much so that even rides on Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland (supposedly inspired by Walt’s love of Sedona’s iconic landscapes) have me dreaming up return trips.   So, when planning a quick little R&R retreat with my husband,  Sedona quickly won out as the destination of choice.  Lauren Elaine watches the sunset in Sedona, Arizona at L'Auberge Hotel and SpaI’m endlessly inspired by nature, and I can’t get enough of the desert (check out our “Prismatic Planet” collection’s desert-themed look book just released!)  Sedona offers a perfect mix of surreal desert scenery readily available for your enjoyment (Slide Rock anyone?), alongside modern luxury (tip: I highly recommend Hotel Amara or L’Auberge de Sedona) – making for the ultimate ‘treat yo self’ experience to share with your fiancé(e), husband, or wife.  And sure,  you may have to circumnavigate the occasional crystal vortex worshipper (it’s a thing, google it) — but it’s always the ultimate (red rock) retreat.  Below, I’m sharing my Sedona photo diary from last month, along with some of my top gown picks for destination desert weddings.
