Oh how I love a good road trip. Maybe it’s the change of scenery, or maybe it’s the drawn out anticipation of the destination. When it comes to traveling, I’d happily trade a day on the road, inspired by new landscapes, for a few hours in the sky. Road trips are not only an American tradition, but when it comes to the holidays, road trips are just as much a tradition as decorations and presents. To Grandmother’s [ or insert family member’s] house we go…
I kicked off this holiday season with a road trip into high altitude and cooler temps for Thanksgiving. And next week, I’ll be road-tripping to Las Vegas for a project I’ve been dreaming up for a while. I’m exciting to be launching a new collection of tea-length, 1950’s inspired bridal dresses geared towards receptions, rehearsals, showers, and unconventional weddings. They’re fun to wear, and made for celebrating. I love it when brides break away from tradition when it comes to their weddings – whether it’s the location or the gown. And so I thought, what better place to capture the nontraditional, fun, and flirty retro feel of the new collection than Vegas, and all it’s neon glory! I can’t wait to head out on a road trip through the Mojave desert to bring this vision to life– behind-the-seams blog post to follow!!
